A real disappointment cause I was really looking to its' release. Who the hell wants to have to change the BIOS setting to boot from the PQRE or even have to use a boot cd to restore the drive?! While I am able to create and restore the system drive on another partition, I am unable to create CDs with it. They then make you have to use the PQRE (which is another POS and PITA) in order to in restore the system drive. In my opinion they took V2i Protector Desktop Edition and modified it for the home user. I won't even consider installing DI7 again until they rework it (and perhaps not even then). I'll stick with DI2002 (or even Ghost2003). To say it is a late beta is putting it mildly and in my opinion it should not have been released. I have tried it, and it is total garbage and unuseable to me. I think you are being too kind about DI7. PM8 is a weak upgrade at best, and DI7 feels to me more like a late beta than a shippable product.
